Art Tiles

We hand make a range of beautiful decorative art tiles that can be hung inside or out.

Sheets of clay are rolled, cut to size and pressed into our hand formed moulds to create a bas relief.

The tiles are then carefully dried and bisque fired before being hand decorated using our own unique glazes in a cloisonne style.

We often use one glaze on top of another to achieve a desired effect or depth of colour.

Our design inspirations are thematically kiwi based and focus on native flora and fauna and our wonderful coastline.

Naturally found objects are used to make some of the moulds. Cultural aspects are also incorporated into our creations using Maori and Polynesian motif and language.
